Research-use-only is an operating boundary

How qualification, documentation, payment and dispatch controls turn an RUO label into a real business process.

Research-use-only language is meaningful only when operations support it. A qualified process identifies the organization, records the intended laboratory purpose and rejects personal, therapeutic, dosing or other prohibited-use requests.

Commercial controls matter as much as website copy. Payment and dispatch should remain gated until account, jurisdiction, documentation and intended-use reviews are complete. Support channels must follow the same boundary and avoid administration or treatment guidance.

The result is a traceable decision path: inquiry, qualification, evidence review, jurisdiction check, commercial approval and controlled fulfillment. This protects research integrity and makes the public claim auditable.
